TOUR OF ANDAMAN ISLAND 

DAY 01 - ARRIVE CHENNAI
Arrive at Chennai international airport & meet-transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Hotel at Chennai 

Day 02  -  CHENNAI / PORT BLAIR
Morning:    After breakfast drive to Chennai airport for flight to Port Blair 
1015 hrs:    Depart by Jet Airways / Air India to Port Blair.
1220 hrs:    Arrival at Port Blair and meet-transfer to hotel.
Later visit to Corbyn’s Cove Beach - a coconut palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, sun-basking & bathing. 
Evening:    Witness the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail - where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive. 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair

Day 03 - PORT BLAIR / HAVELOCK ISLAND 
E / morning:    Departure by ferry to Havelock Island (4 hrs by Boat). 
Afternoon:    Enjoy your day at Beach number 7 on the western coast, better known as “The Radha Nagar Beach”. 
Over night: Hotel / Resort at Havelock island

Day 04 - HAVELOCK ISLAND / ELEPHANT BEACH / HAVELOCK  
Morning:    After breakfast, we sail for Elephant Beach 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Havelock Island

Day 05 - HAVELOCK 
Morning:    After breakfast tour of Game fishing.  
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Havelock Island

Day 06 - HAVELOCK / KALA PATHAR BEACH / PORT BLAIR 
Morning:    After breakfast a leisurely first day soaking in the beauty of Havelock, it is time to do an island tour. 
Evening:    Departure to Port Blair by ferry.
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair

Day 07 - PORT BLAIR / BARATANG / PORT BLAIR 
E / morning:    After breakfast departure to Baratang Beach (5 hrs by Boat).
Evening:    Leisure at Hotel. 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair

Day 08 - PORT BLAIR 
Morning:    After breakfast, start off for a full-day City Tour of Port Blair 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair
    
Day 09 - PORT BLAIR / CORAL ISLAND / ROSS ISLAND / VIPER ISLAND
Morning:    After breakfast, start off for a full- day excursion to Coral Island (North Bay)
Afternoon:    Visit of Ross Island, now in ruins. 
There after Proceed for Harbour Cruise (Viper Island)
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair
        
Day 10 - PORT BLAIR / NEIL ISLAND / BHARATPUR BEACH / PORT BLAIR 
E / Morning:    After breakfast sail for Neil island. 
Afternoon:    Visit of Bharatpur beach, ideal for Snorkeling and glass bottom boat rides. You can see the beautiful coral and underwater life. Proceed to jetty in evening for the return boat to Port Blair. 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair

Day 11 - PORT BLAIR / MOUNT HARRIET / BIRD ISLAND / PORT BLAIR  
Morning:    After breakfast, we drive to Mt. Harriet – it is the 2nd highest peak (365 meters high) in the Andaman’s, 
Evening:    Proceed for Chidiya Tapu - generally known as the "Bird Island" 
Overnight: Hotel / Resort at Port Blair

Day 12 - PORT BLAIR / CHENNAI DEPARTURE 
Morning:    After Breakfast departure transfer from hotel to airport.
1430 hrs:    Depart by Jet Airways / Spice Jet to Chennai.
1650 hrs:    Arrive a Chennai & transfer to hotel for wash & Change.
Late night departure transfer from hotel to Chennai International airport for flight back to home.

The islands were used by the British in the 19th century, mainly for imprisoning Indian freedom fighters in the infamous 'Cellular Jail'. The original inhabitants of the islands are of Mongoloid and Negroid origin and consist of several tribes, chief among which are the Onge, Andamanese, Shompen, Nicobarese and Jarawa. The tribal population is fast dwindling. The islands have a tropical climate
 
Temperatures range between 23 and 30 degrees centigrade. The islands witness two monsoons, when the seas become rough. One is between mid-May and October, and the other is a short period sometime in November-December. Best time to visit is October to April. 
Foreigners need permits to visit the Andaman Islands, and are not permitted to visit the Nicobar Islands. 
Permits are available for 15 to 30 days at the Port Blair airport on landing. 

These can be obtained from Indian embassies abroad or from the Foreigners Registration Offices in Chennai and Calcutta. 

Port Blair the capital is connected by flights from Delhi, Calcutta, Madras & Bombay.
