Day 1 - Europe / Chennai

Day 2 - Chennai / Covelong ( Near Mahabalipuram )
Morning drive to Covelong / Mahabalipuram.
Excursions to visit Mahabalipuram - visiting 7 century Shore temple.
Continue to visit Kanchipuram - village with ancient temple site and also its hand-woven silks. |

Day 3 - Covelong / Pondicherry
Drive to Pondicherry - an ancient colony of France and also visit Auroville (City of Dawn) designed by french architect Roger Arger. half day visit of the city. |

Day 4 - Pondicherry / Chidambrum / Tanjore
Morning drive to Chidambrum - The city is famous for its large temple dedicated to 'Shiva Nataraja' where there is a school of dance of Bharatnatyam.
Continue driving to Tanjore. |

Day 5 - Tanjore / Tiruchirapalli
Morning, visit Tanjore and the remains of the Chola dynasty.
A/noon, drive to Tiruchirapalli and visit Rock fort and the big Vishnu temple. |

Day 6 - Tiruchirapalli / Madurai
Morning, drive to Madurai.
A/noon, visit the greatest Meenakshi temple of Madurai. |

Day 7 - Madurai / Munnar
Drive to Munnar.
A/noon: Sightseeing of Munnar – This beautiful hill station is situated in Kerala “Gods own country” Munnar is still very much a British Tea plantation town.

Day 8 - Munnar / Thekkady ( Periyar )
Drive to Periyar.
Periyar - an artificial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River is the heart of the 777 sq. km Wildlife Sanctuary. |

Day 9 - In Thekkady
Day free to visit the wildlife sanctuary / boatride on lake Periyar / Bamboo Trekking in the forest. |

Day 10 - Thekkady / Kumarakom
Drive to Kumarakom (4 hrs drive) - set on a mirror-still lagoon, just steps away facing the Vembanad Lake & the bird sanctuary abounds with egrets, swaying paddy fields on one side.
A/noon free to relax in this beautyful countryside. |

Day 11 - Houseboat
Morning at leisure.
Noon, start a cruise in the backwaters of Kerala & Lake Vembanad in a traditional houseboat also known as Ketuvallam. All meals on board. At night boat shall be parked on one side to give you a sound sleep.

Day 12 - Arrive at Alleppy
Morning, leisurely breakfast followed by an hours cruise to the Alleppy jetty.
On arrival car is waiting to take you to Cochin.
A/noon, city tour of Cochin and its Boatyard with chinese fishing nets or the old world churches. |

Day 13 - Cochin / Ooty
Early morning, start driving to Ooty (8 to 9 hours), this is going to be a long day but at the same time an interesting drive in the countryside.
Arrive late & relax at hotel. |

Day 14 - In OOTY
Ootacamund - the former summer capital of the Madras Presidency (now Tamil Nadu), it is known as the Queen of Hill stations. It nestles in the Nilgiri Hills at an altitude of 2300 meters. The Collector of Coimbatore John Sullivan who built a residence and then the lake first discovered Ooty.
Morning, drive to Conoor to experience the Toy Train ride from Conoor to Ooty, this is the highlight of this area. |

Day 15 - Ooty / Mysore
Morning, drive to Mysore the capital of King Tipu Sultan who fought british but refused to giveup his kingdom, a true martyr. Visit the Palace & the city. |

Day 16 - Mysore / Hassan
Morning drive to Sringapatnam island fortresse of Tipu Sultan.
Thereafter drive to Sravanbelagola - famous for its colossal statue of the Jain Saint Gomateshwara. 614 steps lead to his monolithic statue 18 meters tall and standing atop the hill of Indragiri.
A/noon: visit the temples of Belur & Halebid. ( built in 12 & 13 century)

Day 17 - Hassan / Hospet
Morning, long drive to the small town of Hospet. |

Day 18 - Hampi Visit
Excursion to Hampi (Vijayanagar ‘Town of Victory ’) ruins which is just 13 kms, once the greatest of all medieval Hindu capitals in South India which was founded in 1336 AD by two local princes and then it became the seat of the mightiest empire, which held sway over South India for two centuries. In its heyday the city had a population of half a million, bolstered by a powerful one million mercenary army. Hampi was built as a showpiece of imperial magnificence, and a definitive Vijayanagar style of architecture emerged, stylised sculptures depicting since from “Puranas & Ramayanas”. It has been termed as “The Pompeii of India” . |

Drive to Badami - once the former second capital of the Chalukya dynasty. Here the cave temples are hewn out of solid rock, in a magical setting of hills above a lovely reservoir. |

Day 20 - Badami / Goa
Drive to Goa, arrive & check into a Beach Holiday Resort. |
|

Day 21 - In Goa
Relaxing on the beautiful beach of Goa. |

Day 22 - In Goa
Visit the Old Goa & its portuguese churches.
A/noon, free to relax. |

Day 23 - Goa / Mumbai
Take afternoon flight to Mumbai and transfer to an hotel close to airport.
Evening, transfer to International airport. |
